Nation, hindi natatawa si Angel Locsin.
Thanks to an infamous article, Angel Locsin has all but mobilized an online crusade via Twitter, bent on scoring one for the nation against those evil racist miscreants from Encyclopedia Dramatica.
This isn't the first time this has happened, though. While some people might disagree, this is par for the course when the classiest, most dignified politician of our times, Honorable Roilo Golez, challenged Chinese satirist Chip Tsao to one round of boxing. Similar comments were made by senatoriable Susan “Toots” Ople on the matter. Like her, I was appalled to find out that the truth of the matter, that “Louisa” was not even Filipina. It’s disappointing when the truth impedes the development of a compelling story.
I am also strongly reminded of our good Senator Bong Revilla, who similarly threatened Alec Baldwin when the latter made an offhand comment on the David Letterman show.
All these people represent disgruntled Filipinos everywhere who are sick and tired of being discriminated against.
Amid the political turmoil in this country, it is unbelievable how some other nations have the temerity to take their shots at us and kick us while we are down. What gave these people the right to insult us? Who are they? They’re nothing but racist pigs, and if there are two things I absolutely detest, it’s racists and the Chinese. Therefore, I can safely conclude that the perpetrator behind this Encyclopedia Dramatica site is certainly Chip Tsao. I don’t need evidence. I just need my gut.
(As an aside, it boggles the mind why commenters lately have insisted that yours truly should research before he writes. Does this not go against the very spirit of “feeling” the news in all its truthiness as he does for you? )
That Ms. Locsin has turned into an internet meme for standing up for the rights of us proud, sensitive, discerning Filipinos is a travesty. Why do we laugh at someone who fights for equality? As a patriotic Filipino, I am one with the likes of Ms. Locsin, Representative Golez, and Senator Revilla in decrying racism and bigotry. What the likes of Chip Tsao did was wrong. They insulted our country. So you know what?
We should insult their country, too! That’d show them how we’re nothing like the racist pigs that they are.
It’s rather pathetic how most of these racist diatribes have always been couched under the guise of “satire”. Nation, there is no such thing. Satire does not exist. Everything said against the Filipino people is an affront to us, and unlike Senator Mar Roxas, we will not have it stricken from the records. We will remember. We will never forget. We will never forgive.
Calling these racist statements “satire” only goes to show what excuses these people will make just to appear innocent of wrongdoing. It has almost been a year, and Chip Tsao’s words still ring in the nation’s ears. His apology has fallen on deaf ears, and like fellow patriot Boyet Fernandez, we demand Chip Tsao to kneel. Bow in the face of the Filipino’s greatness!
Nation, it’s hard to even understand why we, of all people, appear to often be derided by these other countries. As a nation, the Philippines is big on racial equality. Our track record for according people of different cultures with nothing but respect is unimpeachable. (Editor’s note – O rly?) (Author’s note – Stop it with the facts! It’s ruining my narrative!)
We are not going to stand for this kind of treatment from you, or from anyone else who would wish to denigrate the honor of this great country. Any foreigner who decides to criticize this country is nothing but a slimy racist. Any Filipino who decides to criticize this country is guilty of crab mentality. Ergo, nobody should criticize this country. Ever. I thank the great politicians in this country, as well as Ms. Locsin, for assuring us that the pride and honor of the Filipino people will always be defended in the face of bigotry and discrimination.
Let’s show the world that we are a great country. That we are friendlier than Muslim terrorists, that we are more hard working than lazy Mexicans, and that we are not criminals like African-Americans. To paraphrase Ms. Locsin, let us teach a lesson to these racists that we are proud to be Filipinos! We apologize, but we cannot disregard those who stake their lives to fight for this nation. We should not allow ourselves to be maligned by these narrow-minded racists. Why insult us? Grrr...
To Chip Tsao and to every single racist or blood traitor out there whom you represent, I have but one message to you, in closing: in God’s eyes, we are all equal, you inferior piece of human excrement! We patriotic Filipinos will not take any more of this abuse from our Chinese overlords.
