The series of fashion weeks all over the world have recently just ended. This means we have new instructions and reports on the styles to don for the upcoming year from the fashion authorities themselves. Say hello to new trends, new styles, and new fashion rules to try…and break.
Not one to be behind the pack, SM Fashion Forum heeded these reports and updated their collection to appease the fashion hungry in Mania. Last October 10, the department store’s luxurious designer line launched its new collections at its second flagship store in the 2nd floor of the SM Department Store at SM Megamall.
One may remember Fashion Forum’s successful debut last year at the SM Department Store in Makati which drove Manila’s fashionable set to recognize a new shopping hub within the vicinity. This year’s launch was no disappointment either.
Surrounded by clothes and shoes from their latest line and hors d’ oeuvres carried and offered by spiffy-dressed waiters, the audience were in for a night of luxury and fashion revelry. Hosted by Daphne Osena-Paez, the launch started off with a giveaway with prizes the likes of Rayban and Gucci sunglasses and Belo gift certificates.
The fashion show was held next showcasing the new collections from the designer brands carried by Fashion Forum: Adrianna Papell, Ali Ro, David Meister, Donna Morgan, Donna Ricco, London Times, Maggy London, Max & Cleo, Miss Couture, and Taylor.
Fashion Forum’s latest collection is peppy without losing its classic sensibilities. Featuring a slew of dresses, daunting and daring prints on classic canvasses were the highlight of it all.
There are graphic and mod prints, reminiscent of 60s fashion in all its bold and bright glory, in shift dresses, flirty empire cut mini frocks, and svelte bandage dresses, which SM aptly dubs as daytime chic.
As a complement to these pieces, SM further introduced a set of dresses that would work well from day to night. In the same nouveau print meets classic canvass philosophy, these dresses feature florals and splatters albeit in subtler tones.
Fashion Forum pulled all the stops by showcasing a line of fashionable work wear as well giving a new meaning to power dressing. By this we mean adding unimposing but still attention-grabbing prints on modest shifts. The hybrid shift and handkerchief dress combo also dares to take work wear to a more fashionable level.
To cap off its newest collection, Fashion Forum brings evening wear consisting of eye-catching cocktail numbers and flowy goddess like long gowns in form-flattering silhouettes.
The same as with last year’s launch, guests of the event were treated to an exclusive first dibs pre-sale of their new collections. No worries though, SM Fashion Forum is still stocked to the brim with all its fashionable goodies. Aside from their location at the 2nd floor of the SM Department Store at SM Megamall, you can also find the designer line at the 3rd level of SM in Makati. Fashion Forum will also be opening at SM City Cebu this month.
