Your eyes are the windows to your soul, and your eyebrows the frame. If you have a messy frame, it would only serve as a distraction from your eyes and the rest of your look.
Now before you start picking up your tweezers, consider going to a brow salon first. Yes, there are salons built to primp and pamper your brows, and they have professionals to do it too. Some may say that going to a brow salon is excessive and unnecessary. Quite the contrary, these brow salons do more than just plucking stray hairs. Like hair stylists, they shape your brows depending on the shape of your face. They also offer other brow services too.
Here are two of the best brow salons in the metro to date!
Browhaus
Browhaus is an international brow salon with several branches all over the world such as in New York, London, Singapore, and Hongkong. It prides itself with its Blueprint System which is designed to create the perfect brow employing grid technology and taking into account one’s face shape, eye shape, and other concerns like nose prominence and skin aging. Their brow stylists are also trained in Singapore for four to eight weeks to ensure quality brow services.
Browhaus’s Blueprint System
The name Browhaus was derived and inspired from the German art movement Bauhaus and it claims to be a one-stop brow and lash grooming salon. With all the brow services it offers, we can hardly counter that claim. The first concept store of its kind, Browhaus offers the following brow services: Basic Brow Shaping, Browgraphy, and Brow Resurrection.

Browhaus Greenbelt

Browhaus Serendra
Browhaus’s Basic Brow Shaping involves either Classic Threading (P580), Modern Tweezing (P580), or Color Tweak (P950). They use special imported thread for threading which according to some makes the ordeal less painful. They also use a special technique for their Modern Tweezing service which claims to make the experience more tolerable. For their Color Tweak service, vegetable-based dyes are used for the brows to color it. What is great about Browhaus’s brow dyeing service is that the browticians assess the perfect color for your brows ― a lighter shade can soften features and a darker shade can add definition.
Browgraphy is a happy meal service which includes both Shaping and Color Tweak in one bundle priced at P1,295.
For damaged or barely-there brows, Brow Resurrection is an advanced technique which involves constructing natural looking brows giving you the brows you never had. Each strand is made to look lifelike and a non-toxic dye is also used to color it. The process starts with a consultation where brow stylists would assess one’s face and then pencil and shape the ideal brows until the customer is happy with the results. Then the actual treatment would begin wherein a stamping tool is used to create brow strands and then finished with vegetable-based dye. Browhhaus also uses a numbing cream quirkily named as Ice Cream to ward off the pain. The resurrected brows are guaranteed to last for two years.
Brows after the service look more fuller and defined.
Before you start rejoicing though, this service costs a whopping P38,000 for full brow and P25,000 for lengthening. With such a big amount of cash to shell out, it is best if you think about it first and check out the reviews. You can read reviews from Wonderful Wortel World, Novia’s Utopia, Hello Miss Patterson, and She Knows.
Browhaus branches in Manila are located at Serendra, Bonifacio Global City, and at fourth floor Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center.
Brow Studio
Brow Studio is the first Filipino concept store primarily geared at brow and lash specialties. If Browhaus’s signature wallpaper features an array of sketched brows, Brow Studio uses a collage of actual eyes and brows. Their yellow and purple interior also makes their studio look upbeat and inviting.
Brow Studio Eastwood
Brow Studio Megamall
Their brow services include Brow Clean-up (P188), which involves simple cleaning and removal of excess hair, Brow Design (P328), which consists of shaping and cleaning, and Brow Definition (P768), which is the complete brow treatment consisting of shaping, cleaning, and coloring.
Brow Studio’s prices may be way cheaper than Browhaus’s, but their services are nonetheless reliable. Their brow stylists are trained professionals and can provide the needed care for one’s arches. They also have a Brow Rx which they give to every customer after service which states the needed aftercare. You can read reviews of their services from Mich Eats and Shops and Not Your Ordinary Beauty Queen.
While this brow salon is still young, open for only a year, they are in many ways a worthwhile alternative to Browhaus. They are located at the 5th floor, Building A of SM Megamall, and at B212 2nd floor of Eastwood Citywalk 2.
