House Resolution No. 1109 House Resolution No. 1109 mlq3 As if to answer Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros’ argument that Resolution 737 does not specify a mode by which to make changes to economic provisions, Speaker Nograles, along with 173 other House representatives, has produced Rep. Luis Villafuerte’s “ghost resolution”, now called Resolution 1109, like a rabbit out of a hat.  The resolution calls upon the HOR to “convene for the purpose of considering proposals to amend or revise the constitution, upon a vote of three fourths of all the members of Congress”.

Hi a friend of mine said that some of those in the list, like nikki teodoro, withdrew her co-authorship even before the votation and wasn't even there during the votation. do you know if it's true?

dunno what's the real score on the con ass... but it would also be unfair to be super judgmental asap on these 'tongressmen'. we are like sheep led on by media and this itself is alarming too... let's not trust anyone and let's do our own research not only on this issue...

A call to pinoy blogs and bloggers to link blogs on HR 1109

We are issuing this call to all pinoy blogs and bloggers to link to other blogs discussing or posting on the issue of the House Of Representatives passing HR 1109 in congress. Link to these blogs even if your blog's topic is not on anything related to HR 1109.

HR 1109 is one the most important actions of the current congress that will affect the whole country and our lives.

Let us link together to give pinoys the opportunity to be properly informed on the issue so that they can intelligently decide on their own or join a group to take action.

I can't believe that this is happening so fast! People didn't know that this was coming because everybody was so preoccupied with the katrina-hayden issue!

We don't need to change our constitution! what we need is to change our LEADER'S values and morals! Valenzuela's Congressmen are very disappointing! so sad :!: :!: :( !

(A)H1N1 Pandemic

Influenza A (H1N1) is a highly infectious disease caused by a virus which mutated out of four different strains of the influenza A virus found in pigs, human and birds. The outbreak began in Mexico in April 2009, spreading across the Americas and Asia in a matter of months. Due to its unprecedented spread across the globe, the H1N1 outbreak was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization in June 2009. Although most who contract the disease recover immediately, doctors have warned that the virus strain may still evolve into a more virulent form, causing wide-scale fatalities as in the case of the Spanish flu in 1918, or the Hong Kong flu in 1968. The first case of H1N1 in the Philippines was on May 18, 2009. By June, the country reported its first H1N1 fatality. Despite efforts by the Department of Health to slow the spread of the disease, the infected in the Philippines now number in the thousands. Although most recover without complications, the DOH has projected that up to a quarter of the country's 90 million people might become infected. Read more at WikiPilipinas
