Nothing Can Stop Us and Nothing Can Go Wrong

What is Universal Primary Education? Is it something we really just want to have? Or something our world really needs to achieve?

It has been a serious problem that most children cannot attain reliable education or even just simple learning. The opportunity to be educated is stolen from them, and it is but dreadful seeing hopeless kids. The cost of educating kids will prevail over the cost of not educating them.

This has been one of the reasons behind the creation of the Millennium Development Goals, a concern of the United Nations. This shall stand as an encouragement for the people to realize that we can really do something to bring back the old Earth we used to know. We shall not just sit there and watch how the world falls apart.

The 2010 Philippine general election is coming. This serves as a chance to discover the true born politicians that should selflessly devote their selves in helping the country recover from poverty. They should also be the ones who will be basically helping the children achieve proper learning.

Acosta, Aquino, Delos Reyes, Estrada, Gordon, Madrigal, Perlas, Teodoro, Villanueva or Villar? One of them will surely be proclaimed as president on May 10, but is there anyone of these 10 candidates will be able to bring the Philippines to progress most especially children to achievable schooling? This is a challenge for all those running for president, a trial that only the worthy will pursue.

Teachers of different public and private school here in the Philippines should be the beginning of new hope for the country also. They should visit other “barrios” in far places and see how the children suffer due to lack of education. They should seek for financial support and political will from the government and other kind-hearted individuals and righteously provide the young ones with the reliable education that they truly deserve. True Filipinos are always willing to help and be as one.

The children should not be the ones who shall suffer. To answer my question, Universal Primary Education is what the whole world really needs to attain. It is also something that is very reachable. As long as we all become as one in supporting this cause, nothing can stop us and nothing will go wrong.
