Dear Sisters, Fathers, Brothers and Lay co-workers,

As we approach the final stretch of the May 2010 electoral preparations, we see the need for us to come together by way of holding a forum /discussion that will deepen our knowledge on the May 2010 election in which the outcome will have the greatest impact on the lives of the Filipino people.

In line with this, we wish to invite you to attend the second monthly discussion of EPHPHATHA on FEBRUARY 18, THURSDAY, 2pm to 5pm in Maryhill School of Theology. The discussion will tackle the “Pastoral Responses to the May 2010 Election” This forum will specifically deal with:

a. What are the political environment and scenarios for May 2010 election?

b. What should we do as church people to make the outcome of May 2010 election a credible one?

We hope that the participants of the gathering could come out with concrete actions and plan that will center on voter’s education and anti fraud and anti violence program.

This will truly be an opportune time for us to respond actively to this most urgent issue of our country. As we celebrate the Lenten season through prayers, confession and fasting, let us also commit ourselves to the calling of our nation.
