Who Is my president?

Who_Is_My_President

For the last few months, we have heard the badvocacy of all presidentiables, their war dogs sowing intrigues and doubt against their opponents. And by this time, hopefully, we have made our choice. Well not for me, I think I am as confused, if not worse, as I was at the beginning of the campaign period. Ha ha ha

Hey, but at least, I have narrowed down my choices down to two [from three]. Who then is my guy for President? Any guess? Well let me give you a few of the factors, if I may, in making my choice. This is just a simple checklist, not a scorecard .

  1. Not short fused
    • I don't want a President who will make foolish decision or make fun of himself because he is "pikon" or lacks patience.
    • I don't need a president who has the potential to get into "unnecessary" wars.
  2. Not a sisy
    • I also do not like a President who is a sisy, who is not his own man and can be manipulated by his donors and close allies
  3. Not arrogant
    • Strength cannot be measured by arrogance. And most of the time, arrogant people are the insecured ones. They threaten to do this and that if the results they are expecting is not achieved.
    • Arrogance is claiming to speak for the majority when in fact  the definition of majority after EDSA 1 was re-defined to, as the "noisiest" group.
  4. Not self righteous
    • This election is not a battle of good vs evil, because  none of them is "good" [in contrast with their definition of evil].
    • There may exist a lesser evil  but no one can claim he is morally upright than the rest [ohh, perhaps with the exemption of one depending on ones religious belief and affiliation]
    • Not being corrupt or not stealing money is "not" the definition of "good".
    • Erap claims he did not steal money from the government. Though some of his projects are doing well, his "other" activities were used by his enemies to bring him down.
    • I cannot appreciate a leader who cannot see the plank in his eye, a case of the blind leading the blind.
  5. Not vengeful
    • I dont want a leader who cannot let go and move on. Let's pursue justice, but justice should not be defined by the  leader's biases.
  6. Seeks to unite and not divide
    • where the definition of unity is seeking political understanding and not to silence the other side by force
  7. Knows where he is going
    • I hope to have a president with clear direction and action plans, not influenced by the power brokers around him.
  8. Who is not involve in mudslinging
    • Meron ba? ha ha
  9. With proven track record
    • The presidency is not an OJT
  10. Professional
      • Who will form his cabinet and advisers based on competence and not political affiliation
  11. Educated

The promises made by Noynoy Aquino from the time he was running as a candidate to the time of his oath taking as 15th president of the Republic of the Philippines was compiled by ang_mungo.
