The SIS, still commonly called by its old name MI6, arrested two people they suspect as behind the attempted bombings in Caernarfon, northwest Wales. It was on Wednesday (London time) that the parcel was found at the building and a day after that the postal office discovered the other parcel.
The Metropolitan Police Service said they are also investigating two suspicious packages addressed to central London, which they reportedly have already recovered. Further details were not revealed, and how the package was found in the MI6 building remains a mystery – at least to the public.
The SIS was founded in 1909. The MI6 name was used during the Second World War and is still being used by writers and journalists.
