The two Filipino billiard superstars bested Germans Ralf Souquet and Thorsten Hohmann in the race to 11 tournament with a score of 11-9 in the final match. The winning pair won the $60,000 top prize from the total cash pot of $250,000.
"Reyes, regarded as the country's best pool player and dubbed as 'The Magician' sank the winning 9-ball shot and capped it by dancing to the cheers of hometown fans," gmanews.tv reported.
"Although we are old, we are still winning," Bustamante told inquirer.net. The two champions also thanked fellow Filipinos for the support.
According to abs-cbnnews.com, the two Germans entered the final match after defeating Ronnie Alcano and Dennis Orcollo, who comprise Philippines A, in the semifinals, with a score of 9-6, earlier Sunday afternoon.
Reyes and Bustamante won their first World Cup of Pool championship title in 2006.
