The palace appointed a former Quezon City judge to replace outgoing Metro Manila Development Authority chair, Bayani Fernando.
Press Secretary Cerge Remonde yesterday named NCR Political Affairs Undersecretary Oscar Inocentes as the new interim chief of the MMDA.
Remonde said that Fernando resigned from his post last Friday to pursue the presidency as an independent candidate.
Before joining Malacañang, Inocentes was a judge in Quezon City and later served as a member of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) board of trustees. He is also a senior partner at the Inocentes Lacuanan & Associates Law Office; director of the Philippine General Insurance Corporation; president and chief officer of the Rotary Foundation Inc.; chairman of the board of the Glorious Sun Agricultural & Development Corporation and chairman of the board of Banco San Juan Inc.
