Influential social media personalities recognized in Globe Tatt Awards

Globe Tattoo awarded influential netizens and personalities in social media in the first ever Tatt Awards. The awarding ceremonies at the Manila Peninsula last Friday night gathered bloggers, writers, celebrities and netizens who made a remarkable impact on the local social media landscape.

According to Dong Ronquillo, head of Globe Tattoo Nomadic Broadband, the winners exemplified the Tattoo ideals of “a life without limits,”

One winner for each of the 10 categories were awarded. Here are the winners:

  • The Word Slayer – The Professional Heckler, Mr. Loi Reyes Landicho of professionalheckler.wordpress.com
  • Video Slinger – Mikey Bustos of youtube.com/MikeyBustosVideos
  • The Artiste – Jin Joson of jinjoson.com
  • The Advocate – Elizabeth Angsioco of dswp.org.ph
  • The Indie Rocker - Up Dharma Down of updharmadown.com
  • Stylisimo - Laureen Uy of breakmystyle.com
  • Mommy Ball Breaker Ligaya Salonga received the award for Lea Salonga
  • Ball Breaker – Lea Salonga of twitter.com/MsLeaSalonga
  • Tech Junkie – Mark Macanas of techpinas.com
  • The One – Filipino Freethinkers of filipinofreethinkers.org
  • #ThoughtMovers – Bianca Gonzales of twitter.com/iamsuperbianca

All the winners received P100,000 cash and premium broadband products from Tattoo. Special Awards were also given to Divine Lee of divinemlee.com as Tatt Trending Personality, Youtube sensations Arjohn Gilbert and Maria Aragon as Tatt Viral Rookie, Vice Ganda as Tatt Most Likeable based on his Facebook fan page.

Winners were determined through public voting and by judges in the Tatt Council - Maria Ressa, Rock Ed Philippines founder Gang Badoy, blogger and entrepreneur Cecile Zamora-Van Straten of chuvaness.com, tech blogger and Tattoo ambassador Rico Mossesgeld, director and video blogger Kring Elenzano, radio DJ Chico Garcia, President of the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines (IMMAP) Hans Roxas-Chua and Globe's Dong Ronquillo.

The event was hosted by Tim Yap and Divine Lee. The night ended with a performance from YouTube sensation, Maria Aragon.
