Acoustic band M.Y.M.P. splits

Acoustic band act M.Y.M.P (Make Your Mama Proud) has split, according to philstar.com columnist Ricky Lo.

Vocalist/guitarist duo Juris Fernandez and Chin Alcantara, together with their band, became a household name after producing acoustic remakes of hits including “Tell Me Where It Hurts," "Especially For You," "Kailan” and originals “Soon It's Christmas" and "Magical Feeling,” among others.

They recently won the Group Artist of the Year at the first Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Music but weren’t present at the awards night.

The group’s manager confirmed the break-up, according to ph.news.yahoo.com.

The report said Juris has quit M.Y.M.P and will go solo. The fallout was allegedly because of “differences over an exposure on A.S.A.P Secessionista.”

M.Y.M.P. has recorded five albums and over 10 singles since 2004.

It's just so sad that their split up was caused by their own manager who witnessed the falling out of the two due to "irreconcilable differences". A manager should be the one to act as the middle person and not to take sides. Because of what she did nasira yung band na matagal nilang pinaghirapan. Especially Chin who is the real MYMP, the founder. I doubt if she can manage Juris as a solo artist because I heard that she bad mouths Juris to other people. She just sticks to her job for money. Where did she come from anyway. I heard from a certain bar in cebu.As what?waitress?That explains her lack of knowledge with what she's doing. Juris should get a better manager who has both the skills, communication expertise and brains to become a manager and not just someone she's used to working with. Or else I can see her career going down even before they launch her.

Ms. Teresa Tinio (09065540359) is the new and legal manager of MYMP. Henceforth, she is authorized to front, entertain or conduct inquiries, make commitments, set schedules, accept talent fees, settle monetary obligations, and to negotiate in behalf of the Band to ensure its renowned quality performance.

sa mga tarantadong nagsasabing better si juris kay juliet: ikumpara niyo itsurat boses ni juris 10 years ago nung nagsisimula palang sya. 35 na sya, sampung taon na sa industriya wala padin syang pinagbago sa itsura at boses. bulok padin, pang amateur. si juliet 19 palang, unang video nyang lumabas 16 palang sya, nung nagchampion sya sa star of davao. sumubaybay kayo para makita nyong paganda sya ng paganda at pagaling ng pagaling. 16 palang sya lampas na sya sa talent ni juris. ni hindi makasali sa kahit anong contest si juris dahil alam nyang wala syang binatbat. ni hindi sya makapag concert kasama ni nina, kyla at sarah dahil alam nyang sapaw sya. lamang si juliet kay juris sa lahat ng aspeto pwera lang sa edad at sa numero ng lalaking kinantot. halatang in denial mga fans ni juris. puro sourgraping. walang laman mga sinasabi. halatang mga labanderat planchadora lang mga fans nya kasi napakabaduy ng mga kanta nya. teleserye themes???? yuck!!!!! the truth hurts. tanggapin nalang.

masyado ka namang bilib sa sarili mo para magsolo, girl! anu naman binatbat mo kay sarah? kay nina?
total performer ka dapat e ni 1/3 wala ka. sino namang nambola at nakapagconvince sayong magsolo in the first place? iuntog mo kaya yang malaki mong ulo ng sampung beses at baka sakaling mabawasan ang ere at magising ka?

guys.. onting respect aman.. irespect aman sana ntin ung naging decision ni juris.. pde aman gnun lng ee.. pde aman di maglagay nn masasakit n salita d2.. grbii.. kung cheu chea ang sabhan nn gnyan? im sure hindi cheu matutuwa! tska.. teka nga.. kung makapagcomment aman cheu.. grbii naman.. hindi sa my pinapanigan ako.. pero.. kc.. grbii ee.. cheu nga.. gue.. anu maipagmamayabang nyu in terms of music? hindi xe makatarungan na mangkucha cheu nn tao..
