A slew of music stars are set to take the stage for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, set to be aired live on Sunday, February 12, with two-time Grammy award winner LL Cool J hosting.

The most awaited performance this year is that of current Grammy nominee Adele, who will be performing live for the first time in nearly five months. Adele was previously forced to cancel a sold-out US tour to undergo vocal cord surgery.

Adele has six nominations: for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Short Form Music Video for 'Rolling in the Deep'; Best Pop Solo Performance for 'Somone Like You'; and Album of the year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 21.

“It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all,” said Adele.

Meanwhile, nominees Coldplay and Rihanna are set to perform together on stage for the first time.

Four-time winner Rihanna has four nominations this year: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Loud; and two for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for 'What's my Name?' (with Drake) and 'All of the Lights' (with Kanye West, Kid Cudi and Fergie).

Coldplay, which has won seven Grammy awards is up for three more this year: for Best Pop Duo/Group Peformance for 'Paradise', and Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.'

The Recording Academy, which awards the Grammys, also recognized Brazilian Composer Antonio Carlos Jobim, giving him the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award for founding the Brazilian musical style bossa nova. Among his compositions are 'The Girl from Ipanema', 'Desafinado', 'Wave' and 'Waters of March.'
