American Idol season 10 finalists arrived in Manila yesterday for their two-night concert at the Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 21 and 22.

Scotty McCreery (AI winner), Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, James Durbin, Jacob Lusk, Casey Abrams, Stefano Langone, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Naima Adedapo, and Thia Megia were immediately brought to Manila Hotel after arriving at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport via Philippine Airlines PR-103 to meet the press and later to promote their concert at Manny Pacquiao’s game show Manny Many Prizes.

Before arriving, the “Idols” expressed excitement through Twitter.

Filipino-American Megia who last visited the Philippines when she was four years old wrote, "We're leaving for the Philippines today. Looking forward to see my family & all our amazing fans out there. You guys are awesome! Love you…”

For the others, however, their trip to the Philippines will be their first in Asia and even out of the United States.

"Session tonight, then THE PHILLIPINES!!!!! I can't wait! First time leaving North America....," Lusk said.

Reinhart, on the other hand, twitted, “"Hi! I'm back! Sorry its been so long! US AI Tour is over and now we are headed to MANILA today!!!! Has anyone been there before?”

Just after arriving in Manila Adedapo told media that they are very happy to see their Filipino fans. “There were a lot of people lining up and waiting outside (of the airport),” she said.

Most of the other finalists were excited about the food.

Toscano said Filipino food is amazing while Abrams and Lusk said they already like ube and pandesal. Meanwhile, Megia, Alaina and McDonald succeeded in eating balut.

Because of the wide genre background of the finalists, Filipino fans are expected to be wowed with pop, jazz and rock performances from the Idols.
