Juris releases album in Korea

Former MYMP member Juris Fernandez recently released an EP album If You and Me in South Korea after a Korean producer took interest in her songs.

Fernandez said they recorded the songs in the Philippines and added some of her previous tracks like Officially Missing You and Opposites Attract which the Koreans liked.

Included in the six-track album were two Korean songs translated into English: If by Taeyeon of Girls of Generation and Do Not Forget by Baek Ji Young.

Fernandez said she was in a way happy that people have been listening or downloading her songs online, some probably being heard in Korea.

She said she was sure that they would like her songs. Listening to the original versions of If and Do Not Forget, Fernandez said they were also very relatable, happy and catchy.

Fernandez, who hails from Davao, became famous for her sweet vocals after joining MYMP. It was in 2009 that she left the band after “irreconcilable professional differences.”
