Update (7:30 PM): Negros Occidental congressman Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo died a few hours after he was declared "clinically dead" in a hospital in London.

According to earlier reports, Arroyo, the younger brother of former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, was rushed to a London hospital and was placed in the intensive care unit.

A tweet from The Philippine Daily Inquirer's Isa Avendaño announced that the congressman had been undergoing treatment in London when he suffered a heart attack.

Arroyo traveled to the United Kingdom last year to seek treatment for his liver ailment, and was one of the congressmen with the most absences in the House of Representatives  in 2011.

Mike Arroyo reportedly stated that his brother's body would be returned home to the Philippines in the next few days.
