Held at the auditorium of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, the event gave the groups such as Youth Vote Philippines, I am Ninoy Movement, Kaya Natin Movement, and UP Babaylan a chance to talk about their different goals and advocacies related to the upcoming 2010 elections. The program allowed the students and guests to gain more understanding of current events in Philippine politics, and what they could do to participate in the elections.
Among the speakers were Pampanga governor Ed Panlilio, Father Robert Reyes, and Atty. Adel Tamano. Musicians Papa Dom of Tropical Depression, Noel Cabangon, and Heber Bartolome performed, while comedians Juana Change and Mr. Shooli entertained the crowd.
The Pilipinas 2.0 event is connected to 10 for 2010, a project of POC and Kubol Pag-asa that aims to invite people to choose 10 candidates that they would like to see in office in 2010.
